“Be crazy. Be stupid. Be silly. Be weird. Be whatever. Because life is too short to be anything but happy.”
Hi I am Jess – scientist, dancer and runner from Munich. I have studied Sport Science with focus on psychology and I work as a user researcher at Freeletics. In my past I have taken part in dancing competitions, became German champion when I was 16 years old and worked as a coach for more than 10 years. During that time I had to consequently manage my resources, face tough conflicts and permanently leave my comfort zone. Somehow these experiences are still shaping my life. That’s why I decided to use them as strengths for developing further.
A goal for life.
One of these developments is running. In May 2015 I have started to prepare for a 10k run in Munich. Basically I really hate running, because it appeares quite boring to me and my body is more familiar with high intensity stuff. But my goal is to finnish a marathon at some point of my life and I am already on a good way.
But on this blog I won’t write about training methods or simple rules to reach a certain goal. There are enough blogs about these topics already existing. And as you will read, I think, it’s never going to be that easy. In the past months I made some crucial experiences about myself during my runs. I can say, that running made me happier, more confident, but especially more creative. I want to share these experiences, my outcomes and my mental transformation with you. I want to encourge you to leave your comfort zones no matter in which area of your life.
So, if you are looking for good mood, funny anecdotes, blunt life experiences and inspiration, you’ll find it here.
Im looking forward to you!
